I WILL NEVER LEAVE HIM

I’ve walked through storms that didn’t announce themselves.

Faced accusations that felt louder than the truth itself.

Stood in rooms where shame tried to rewrite my name.

I didn’t crumble but there were days when I was close. Days I stood on the precipice willing my legs not to jump or run.

I knew God was there. Not just watching—but fighting for me.

God was telling me constantly this week--I hear you, I understand how you feel now tell me, what is the truth.

“The Lord is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me.” —Psalm 118:7

This isn’t blind optimism. It’s covenant refounded faith that has been tried by everything including the hottest fire.

God doesn’t just stand beside me—He upholds me.

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” —Isaiah 41:10

Even when I feel overwhelmed, worn and weary, He still sees me.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” —Psalm 46:1

“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” —Hebrews 13:5

I’ve made mistakes and I’ve felt the weight of consequence. I have been in the seat of prosecution and I have sat as the accused.

But God's grace didn’t walk away. His love remained. Unearned, freely given and I am. able to chart new paths because

He didn’t just forgive—He redeemed.

“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.” —Nahum 1:7

“Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.” —Psalm 55:22

So I say it boldly:

God is on my side.

Not because I’m perfect. But because I know Him--because I’m His and He knows me.

I walk upright, not because I am most holy but because I refuse to take his grace for granted. I refuse to waste the sacrifice He made for my sins.

There's work to be done and God is on my side and I have already decided that I will never leave His.
