I don’t lean on anything human. You can’t let me down—because you were never my source.

Last night, I wept as I prayed and worshipped. My body felt weak, but the strength of God carried me. I know I come off cocky sometimes, but it’s not pride—it’s confidence in the One who holds me. I boast in His love, in the way He steadies me. On my own, I’m not much. But with God at the helm, the center, the head of my life—I become everything I was meant to be.

I don’t personally have anything to boast about. My life, on its own, doesn’t shine with accolades or ease. But what I do have is the undeniable evidence of God’s grace. He is my boast, my anchor, my reason.

The truth? My story has more valleys than mountain tops. I’ve known heartache intimately. I’ve felt betrayal in almost every form. I’ve been struck down, dismissed, and treated like I didn’t matter. Pain is familiar—grief even more so. There were moments I wanted to walk away from God. I’ve carried more responsibilities than I had resources to meet them. Yet—I watch my children sleep, their breath steady, their faces soft with peace. In those quiet moments, I see the evidence of God. I dream up better lives for them, not because I have the answers, but because I know the One who does. Their rest reminds me that God is still writing our story, even when I feel stuck in the margins.

Waiting is hard. Provision often feels slow. But I’ve seen how good God is. I don’t need perfect timing. I just need Him beside me. If God stands with me, I’m already on top of the world.

Just like David said in Psalm 16:2: “Lord, my goodness is nothing apart from You.”

That means I am only complete in You. Because of You, I am.

I am not an unfinished painting. I am not an incomplete body of prose.

You are the light in me. I echo You wholeheartedly.

So Lord— May I never let go of Your hem.  May I never walk without the touch of Your hand.  May I never settle for a life without Your calling, healing, and direction, and may I always be swept up in the consistency of Your love.
